SMART SURFACE CAN CONVERT ANY FLEXIBLE SURFACE INTO A TOUCH DRIVEN CONTROLLER

Smart Surface uses our Magic Silicone to create a thin and dark colored silicone pad designed to measure and quantify touch, converting it to digital data. It can be manufactured in any uniform or non-uniform shape to transform any flexible surface into highly sensitive, multi-touch digital touch controller. In this example, magic silicone is placed underneath of the rear center-stack of the vehicle to control the multimedia, converting the upholstery into a control unit.

Magic Silicone is one of our internationally patented technologies, which is a dark colored silicone used in Smart Surface. Any force or pressure stimuli on it causes a color change proportional to the magnitude of the force applied. Hence, the force map on the silicone surface can be evaluated according to the color intensity. Video data is fed to a computation unit, converting it into digital data through image processing.
Any flexible layer can be added on top of Smart Surface. This can be any flexible object like artificial leather, fabric or even a paper. You could open the windows of your car or control the multimedia system just by touching or sliding your fingers on the leather of your armrest. Magic Silicone and Smart Surface makes this possible!

SMART SURFACE CAN BE DESIGNED AND IMPLEMENTED TO ANY SURFACE

Since Magic Silicone can be manufactured at any uniform or non-uniform shape it is adapted to fit underneath of the door armrest. In this example; magic silicone is used to convert the rear right door’s armrest upholstery into a switch to control the window.
